TYSONS CORNER, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Octo Consulting Group (Octo), an award-winning provider of technology and digital services to the federal government, announced that it has been awarded a multi-million dollar Task Order on the General Service Administration's (GSA) Alliant Small Business (ASB) contract in suupport of the GSA Integrated Award Environment (IAE) modernization effort.

The IAE is a Presidential E-Government initiative managed by GSA that melds the cloud, open source technologies, security, agile programming, and a DevOps deployment model to create the award management platform of the future. IAE uses innovative processes and technologies to improve systems and operations for those who award, administer, or receive federal financial assistance (i.e. grants, loans), contracts, and intergovernmental transactions. As part of GSA's Federal Acquisition Services (FAS), the IAE is helping the government move toward a more data driven, common services platform that provides a more technically efficient, secure, and improved user experience.

FBO serves as the single Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE) for federal agencies and contractors for federal procurement opportunities, while eSRS and FSRS serve as important data collection tools for GSA.

Octo will provide rapid development, testing, information security, training, and user support activities for all FBO/eSRS/fSRS modernization efforts.
