Challenge

Project Director Enterprise Services provides management and oversight of the enterprise IT services for the Army. The trailblazing migration to DoD Enterprise Email required transitioning of over 100 legacy email environments to a centrally managed service provided by DISA. 

Our Approach

Octo established an Integrated Product Team between the Army and DISA to monitor email service performance and facilitate continuous improvement. Octo’s team leads the effort to optimize service delivery business processes, while helping the PM manage costs and usage by shaping policy and target state operations. 

Results

The DoD Enterprise Email Metrics Integrated Product Team led by Octo enables effective governance of DoD’s Enterprise Email service performance.  Octo also employed tailored project management methods and tools to successfully migrate 1.5 million users to the new service, in close collaboration with DISA, Army Cyber Command, and NETCOM.
